Gur remains flat on restricted buying

Lethargic conditions persisted on the wholesale gur (jaggery) market as gur prices hovered around previous levels on restricted buying.

Marketmen said restricted buying activity against ample stocks position helped gur prices to hover around last levels.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,900-3,000, Pedi Rs 2,900-3,000 and Dhayya 3,050-3,100, shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200.

In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,075-2,125, chakku Rs 2,500 -2,700 and Khurpa N.T.

In Muradnagar: Pedi 2,700-2,750 and Dhaya 2,750-2,800.
