Gur remains steady on little doings

Lethargic conditions prevailed in the wholesale jaggery market today as prices moved in a tight range in restricted trading, closing at the previous level.

Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also depicted a similar trend and closed at last levels in the absence of any worthwhile support.  

Marketmen said small buying support amid adequate stocks position, largely held gur prices at overnight levels.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, Pedi Rs 2,900-3,000 and Dhayya NT, shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200
In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,000-2,050, Chakku Rs 2,400-2,575 and Khurpa N.T
In Muradnagar: Pedi 2,700-2,750
