Gur remains weak on increased arrivals

Gur prices continued to slide for the second straight day by losing up to Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on increased arrivals against sluggish demand.

Marketmen said increased arrivals against sluggish demand from stockists and local parties, mainly led to fall in wholesale gur prices. 

At Delhi, gur pedi and dhayya slipped further by Rs 100 each to Rs 2,900-3,000 and Rs 3,100-3,150, while shakkar lost Rs 50 to Rs 3,050-3,150 per quintal.

In Muradnagar, gur raskat lost Rs 75 to Rs 2,000-2,100 per quintal. Chakku eased to Rs 2,625-2,700 against last close of Rs 2,875-2,950 per quintal.

In Muradnagar, gur pedi and dhayya also declined by Rs 100 and Rs 50 to Rs 2,850-2,900 and Rs 2,900-2,950 per quintal.

Chakku Rs 3,000-3,100, pedi 2,900-3,000 Dhayya 3,100-3,150 and Shakkar Rs 3,050-3,150
In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,000-2,100 chakku Rs 2,625-2,700 and Khurpa 2,500-2,600
In Muradnagar: Pedi 2,850-2,900 and Dhaya 2,900-2,950
