Gur rules steady in thin trade

The wholesale jaggery market ended on a steady note today as gur prices continued to move in a narrow range on lack of worthwhile buying activity and settled around previous levels. 

Market analysts said adequate stocks position against restricted buying activitiy kept gur prices unaltered.

Following were today's quotations in Rs per quintal.

Chakku Rs 2,250-2,300, pedi 2,250-2,300, Dhayya Rs 2,300-2,350 and Shakkar Rs 2,450-2,500 Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,700-1,800, chakku Rs 2,000-2,200 and Khurpa Rs 1,950-2,000 Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,000-2,050 and Dhaya Rs 2,050-2,100
