Steady conditions persisted in the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital as prices, after moving in a tight range, settled around overnight levels.
On the other hand, gur chakku prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar gur market due to sluggish demand. Market analysts said subdued demand against increased supply mainly pulled down gur chakku prices.
In Muzaffarnagar, gur chakku prices fell from Rs 2,500-2,650 to Rs 2,475-2,550 per quintal.
