Gur strengthens on fall in arrivals

Gur prices strengthened by Rs 50 per quintal in the national capital today on sustained buying by stockists and local parties, against less arrivals due to monsoon rain. 

Marketmen said sustained buying by stockists and local parties, against paucity of stocks pushed up the wholesale gur prices.

At Delhi, gur chakku rose by Rs 50 to Rs 2,900-2,950 per quintal local demand. In Muzzafarnagar, gur chakku also traded higher by Rs 2,550-2,650 from Rs 2,500-2,650 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,900-2,950, Pedi Rs 3,000-3,050 and Dhayya N.T., shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200

In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,950-2,000, chakku Rs 2,550-2,650 and Khurpa N.T
In Muradnagar: Pedi 2,850-2,900 and Dhaya N.A
