Gur up on fresh buying, less arrivals

Gur chakku prices improved by Rs 50 per quintal in the national capital today following restricted supply amid better offtake.

Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur market also ended on a positive note due to fresh buying support, registering a profit of Rs 75 per quintal.

Marketmen said reduced arrivals and fresh buying mainly pushed up gur prices. In Delhi, gur chakku gained from Rs 2,500-2,550 to end at Rs 2,550-2,600 per quintal.

At Muzzafarnagar, gur chakku moved up from Rs 2,175-2,300 to close at Rs 2,250-2,375 per quintal, while gur khurpa went up from Rs 2,100-2,150 to finish at Rs 2,150-2,200 per quintal.

In Muradnagar, gur pedi rose by Rs 50 from Rs 2,300-2,400 to Rs 2,350-2,400 per quintal.

Chakku Rs 2,550-2,600, pedi 2,500-2,550 Dhayya Rs 2,800-2,850 and Shakkar Rs 2,600-2,700
In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,925-2,000 chakku Rs 2,250-2,375 and Khurpa 2,150-2,200
In Muradnagar: Pedi 2,350-2,400 and Dhaya 2,550-2,600
