Harita Seating Systems has soared 18% to Rs 320, also its record high on the NSE, after the company reported three-fold jump in net profit at Rs 4.48 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 (Q2), on back of one-time gain on sale of the two wheeler seat business of the Nalagarh unit.
The auto parts & equipment maker had profit of Rs 1.47 crore in the same quarter year ago.
Total income from operations during the quarter increased by 9% to Rs 75.82 crore against Rs 69.54 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.
The company earned profit Rs 4.47 crore on sale of the two wheeler seat business of the Nalagarh unit in Himachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the company has declared an interim dividend of Rs 2.50 per share (25%) for the year ending March 31, 2016. The interim dividend will be paid to the shareholders on or after November 16, 2015, it added.
