Shares of HCL Technologies has rallied nearly 6% to Rs 1,730 on National Stock Exchange (NSE) in early morning trade after information technology (IT) company announced plans to issue bonus shares.
The board is scheduled to meet on January 28 to January 30, to consider the issuance of bonus shares.
“The board of directors of the company is being held on January 28 to January 30, 2015 to consider the unaudited financial results for the quarter and half year ended December 31, 2014 and the payment of interim dividend,” HCL Technologies said in a BSE filing.
The board shall also consider the issuance of bonus shares to the equity shareholders of the company, subject to the approval of the shareholders, it added.
Earlier, in March 2007, HCL Technologies had issued bonus shares in a ratio of 1:1 i.e. every one bonus equity shares for every one share held in the company.
A combined around 75,000 shares changed hands on the counter till 0916 hours on NSE and BSE.
