This was despite the steady decline in the exports both of wheat and rice in the foodgrains basket due to largely uncompetitive pricing in comparison to other exporting countries.

Share price of Gujarat Ambuja Exports rose from Rs 35.40 on September 1, to today's close of Rs 39.15, up 10.59 per cent on the BSE.

During the same period the stock price of Satnam Overseas increased from Rs 79.70 to Rs 96.95, up by 21.64 per cent.

Lakshmi Overseas increased from Rs 21.40 to Rs 50.65, up by 136.68 per cent. Share price of Agro Tech Foods gained from Rs 77.45 to Rs 90.90, up by 17.36 per cent. Adani Exports rose from Rs 62.25 to Rs 76.25 up by 22.48 per cent.
