The Apollo Tyres stock went up to Rs 183.05 from Rs 180.85 during the period on the Bombay Stock Exchange while share prices of Ceat Tyres increased to Rs 45.25 from Rs 38.35.
The TVS Srichakra counter experienced rise in prices to Rs 59.25 from Rs 55.10 while Goodyear, increased to Rs 52.55 from Rs 40.65. The MRF stock increased to Rs 1748.60 from Rs 1257.35.
Share prices of JK Tyres and Vikrant Tyres also went up, before their trading came to halt since September 25.
The stocks of rubber firms, however, moved in both the directions: a section went up while others came down.
T Elgitread (I) stock has moved up from Rs 195.75 to Rs 230.10 . The Rubber Products stock, during the same period, fell down from Rs 4.75 to Rs 3.65.
The Apar Industries stock went up from Rs 26 to Rs 33.15 and share prices of Apcotex Lattice moved up from Rs 33 to Rs 34.50.
The rubber product and tyre manufacturers got a shot in the arm with the Supreme Court (SC) upholding the Bombay High Court order, vacating ban on import of natural rubber under the advance license scheme (ALS). The buoyant automotive sales have also helped the tyre companies to record higher sales.
