The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI) was down 0.10 per cent to 989.42 on Monday in early trades.
 
Among ISDI global depository receipts (GDRs), four advanced, two remained unchanged and one lost ground.
 
The gainers were Hindalco up 1.66 per cent to $29.99, Larsen & Toubro up 1.05 per cent to $18.34 and State Bank up 0.38 per cent to $26.10 and a volume of 1,495 GDRs.
 
The only loser was Ranbaxy down 1.05 per cent to $23.50 with a volume of 12,386 GDRs.
 
The ISDI, representing the GDRs and ADRs of 15 actively traded companies, eased by 0.47 per cent to 989.39 on October 8 as against the previous level of 994.09.
 
The ISDI price-to-earning ratio also edged down by 0.58 per cent to 17.92 from 18.03.
 
Among the ISDI GDRs and ADRs, there were four gainers, two losers and nine ruled steady. Among ISDI ADRs, four advanced and four lost ground.
 
The major gainers were HDFC Bank up 1.50 per cent to $33.24 and a volume of 21,700 ADRs, Dr Reddy's up 1.26 per cent to $16.88 and a volume of 157,000 ADRs and Wipro up 0.48 per cent to $20.75 and a volume of 275,100 ADRs.
 
The major losers were Infosys down 1.85 per cent to $55.79, Satyam Computer down 0.62 per cent to $24.20 and a volume of 240,200 ADRs and VSNL down 0.53 per cent to $7.49 and a volume of 29,500 ADRs.
 
However, the GDRs State Bank of India and Ranbaxy Labs declined to $25.70 and $23.75, respectively, from $26.18 and $23.90.
 
Meanwhile, US stocks looked set to open nearly unchanged on Monday, with high oil prices hitting a new record amid light trading volume.
 
US light crude hit a new high of $53.63 a barrel, up 30 cents.
