The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI) was up 0.74 per cent to 835.38 on July 5 in early morning trades in the western markets. Among ISDI global depository receipts (GDRs), two advanced, one remained unchanged and four lost ground. |
The gainers were Hindalco, up 3.41 per cent to $22.75, registering volume of 2,000 GDRs and ITC, up 1.89 per cent to $20.50. The major losers were State Bank of India, down 3.36 per cent to $21.60, registering volume of 8,443 GDRs, Reliance, down 1.26 per cent to $19.55, registering volume of 8,150 GDRs and Bajaj Auto, down 1.25 per cent to $19.75. |

The ISDI, which tracks the ADRs and GDRs of 15 actively-traded companies, closed up 0.83 per cent to 836.86 on July 2. The ISDI P/E ratio also shot up by 15.10 per cent to 14.91 from 12.96. |

Among ISDI ADRs, all eight advanced and among the ISDI GDRs and ADRs, there were 11 gainers, 3 losers and one ruled steady. |

The major gainers were Infosys Tech, up 3.66 per cent to $95.49, registering volume of 402,265 ADRs, Satyam Computer, up 1.49 per cent. to $18.44, registering volume of 115,600 ADRs and Dr Reddy's, up 1.30 per cent to $17.12, registering volume of 114,500 ADRs. |

The GDR of ITC also moved up to $20.50 from $20.12, previously. However, GDRs of State Bank of India, Bajaj Auto and Reliance dropped to $21.88, $19.75 and $19.76, respectively, from $22.38, $20.13 and $19.80, previously. |

Elsewhere in the world, Asian stocks fell. after a US report showed fewer jobs were created in June than expected, raising concern that demand from the world's largest economy may slow. |

Morgan Stanley Capital International's Asia-Pacific Index, which tracks more than 900 stocks in the region, declined for a second day, falling 1.2 per cent to 90.08 while. Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average lost 1.5 per cent to 11,541.71, the lowest in two weeks. Taiwan's Taiex index slumped 1.5 per cent. |

Benchmarks in Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and China gained. Indices in Australia and the Philippines were little changed. Indonesian markets were shut for the presidential election. |
