The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI), which tracks 15 actively traded Indian depository receipts, looked up 1.03 per cent to 843.39 till mid-trading session.
The Hindalco GDR rose 2.43 per cent to $23.15, while Reliance Industries GDR jumped 1.32 per cent to $23.05 with 7,100 receipts traded.
The State Bank of India GDR climbed 0.10 per cent to $29.73. However, the Larsen & Toubro GDR tumbled 0.92 per cent to $17.25, registering a volume of 45,000.
Meanwhile, Asian markets witnessed a mixed trend on Thursday, after US markets were marginally higher on Wednesday.
The Nikkei 225 average slipped 0.41 per cent to end at 10,695.56. The broader capital-weighted Topix index closed 0.31 per cent lower at 1,053.85. In Seoul, the Kospi gained 0.81 per cent to 785.94.
