Hindustan Lever Ltd (HLL) slipped 2.78 per cent to Rs 150.60 shortly after it became ex-dividend on the bourses. It finally closed the day at Rs 150.75, down by 2.68 per cent.
A total of 5.99 lakh shares were traded on BSE today. The scrip had, in fact, risen from its 52-week low of Rs 145.10 (on April 1) by 6.75 per cent to Rs 154.90 on April 3.
As per market talk, DSP Merrill Lynch Broking was pursuing the stock over the last couple of sessions.
In contrast, between February 24 and April 1, the scrip had lost 16.75 per cent to Rs 145.10 from Rs 174.30. Today
