The Sensex is moving in a narrow range in positive territory following strong gains restricted to heavyweights and other select old economy stocks. It is now up 20 points at 6,576. The Nifty has gained 14 points to 2,072.Reliance has surged 2.29% (Rs 12) to Rs 545. HLL, on strong buying support, has spurted 5.16% (Rs 8) to Rs 168. ITC (down Rs 2 to Rs 1,360) has recovered most of its losses from its steep slide in early trades.ONGC has inched up a per cent (Rs 4) to Rs 823. BHEL at Rs 763 (up Rs 13 or 1.67%) and Reliance Energy at Rs 556 (up Rs 6) are trading with steady gains.Bajaj (up Rs 12 or 1.17% to Rs 1,050) is holding on to its gains. Hero Honda at Rs 539 (up Rs 2) is trading with modest gains. While Tata Motors has lost 1.43% (Rs 7) to Rs 498, Maruti is down a tad at Rs 451.Dr. Reddy's has slumped 3.63% (Rs 27) to Rs 709. While Ranbaxy is trading lower by a per cent (Rs 10) at Rs 1,075, Cipla is trading a rupee lower at Rs 286.SBI and HDFC Bank are subdued with a per cent loss each at Rs 637 and Rs 558, respectively. ICICI Bank, however, is still up a rupee at Rs 362.
