HNIs` indifference hits portfolio schemes

PMS services are run by brokerage houses for wealthy investors and the ticket size or minimum amount to participate in such schemes ranges from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 crore.  Most of the existing schemes have seen a part of their value getting eroded, thanks to the nearly 30 per cent fall in benchmark indices from their peak in early January.  Among HNIs there are some who trade in markets on their own and others who give their money to PMS to manage.
