Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has moved higher by 2.4% at Rs 601 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) as the open offer by its parent company closes today.
The stock of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) major has opened at Rs 587 and touched a record high of Rs 604 in late noon deals on NSE. A combined 5.21 million shares have changed hands on the counter till 15156 hours on NSE and BSE.
Unilever's Rs 29,220 crore open offer to increase stake in Hindustan Unilever to up to 75% will close today.
Currently, Unilever PLC held 52.48% stake in HUL made a voluntary open offer for 22.5% stake at price of Rs 600 per share.
As on March 2013, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) hold 22.11% stake and domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have 8.06% stake, while the remaining 17.34% stake are with individual shareholders, bodies corporate and others.
