ICICI Bank slips 4.7%; Ambuja Cements gains 5.7%

ICICI Bank has tumbled 4.7% to Rs 781. HDFC Bank has plunged over 3% to Rs 1,171.

SBI, Bharti Airtel and BHEL have declined 2.4% each to Rs 1,354, Rs 814 and Rs 1,503, respectively.

Tata Steel and Larsen & Toubro have lost over 2% each at Rs 832 and Rs 2,782, respectively.

Infosys, Maruti and TCS have slipped 1.9% each to Rs 1,876, Rs 741 and Rs 904, respectively.

Satyam is down 1.7% at Rs 476.

Jaiprakash Associates, Wipro and Hindustan Unilever are the major losers.

Ambuja Cements has soared 5.7% to Rs 91, and ACC has surged 3.3% to Rs 659. Ranbaxy is up 3.1% at Rs 600.

Grasim has gained 2.6% to Rs 2,234. Hindalco has advanced 1.2% at Rs 175.

Tata Motors has added 0.6% to Rs 522.

The markets breadth is marginally positive - out of 2,614 stocks traded so far, 1,402 have advanced, 1,133 have declined and 79 are unchanged.
