Indian ADRs end positive on Tuesday

It was a positive day for the Indian ADRs, after two consecutive days of dampened trade.

Apart from pharma major Dr Reddy's Laboratories, all the other ADRs closed in the green.

Satyam Computer Services surged nearly 10%, at $2.99, on news of its plans to re-list on the New York Stock Exchange. Another tech ADR, Patni Computer Systems rose a little above 5% at $21.15, while Sterlite Industries ended the day up 3.5% at $15.51.

Tata Motors also gained 3% yesterday, and closed at $30.68, after shedding around 1% on Monday. ICICI Bank, at $50.22, was up 3%, followed by another banking ADR, HDFC Bank, which closed nearly up 2% at $163.80.

Wipro, the only tech ADR to have ended positively yesterday, was at $15.28, a gain of 1.5%, while Tata Communications moved up 1% to end the trading session at $10.96.

Genpact recovered from its negative close on Monday, closing at $15.15 up 1%. Infosys, which traded flat on Monday, saw slight movement yesterday as well, and closed marginally in the positive at $74.04.

Dr Reddy's Laboratories fell a little over 6% after the company signed a deal with a Russian pharma firm, R-Pharm.
