Castorseed bold and castoroil commercial both recovered moderately in an otherwise lacklustre oils and oilseeds market here today due to fresh demand from shippers and soap industries.
Meanwhile, castorseeds futures declined on subdued export enquiries.
Groundnut oil, refined palmolein and linseedoil all held steady owing to lack of worthwhile buying activity.
In the non-edible segment, castorseed bold firmed up by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 4,275 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 4,250 and castor oil commercial moved up by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 885 as against Rs 880 previously.
Linseed oil held steady at Rs 630 per 10 kgs.
Turning to futures section, castorseed March delivery resumed slightly higher at Rs 3,490, and gained further to Rs 3,499 but later drifted to settle at Rs 3,465 as against Rs 3,489 yesterday, showing a loss of Rs 24 per tonne.
However, groundnut oil and refined palmolein were closed unaltered at Rs 770 and Rs 560 per 10 kgs respectively.
