Insecticides (India) in focus ahead of board meet for bonus issue

The stock up 5% at Rs 818 on BSE, rallied 22% since the company announced bonus issue plan on October 16.

Insecticides (India) has surged 5% to Rs 818 on BSE, ahead of the company’s board of directors meeting today to consider issue of free shares to its equity shareholders.

The stock opened at Rs 790 and hit a high of Rs 830 on BSE. A combined 99,358 shares changed hands in early morning trades on BSE and NSE.

On October 16, the agrochemicals company said that its board will meet on October 30, 2014 to consider and recommend on issue of bonus shares.

The board will also consider and approve the un-audited financial results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2014, it added.

Since the company announced bonus issue plan, the stock rallied 22% from Rs 668 compared to 4.7% rise in S&P BSE Small-cap index.
