Jeera prices traded lower by Rs 68 to Rs 15,064 per quintal in futures trading today on sluggish domestic as well as exports demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, jeera for March fell by Rs 68, or 0.45 per cent to Rs 15,064 per quintal, with an open interest of 3,084 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in January lost Rs 50, or 0.34 per cent to Rs 14,516 per quintal, with a business volume of 9,459 lots.
Market analysts said subdued domestic and exports demand mainly led to the decline in jeera prices at futures trade.
