Amid weak exports and rise in supply, jeera futures prices fell by Rs 92 to Rs 14,689 per quintal today.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), jeera for delivery in February fell by Rs 92, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 14,689 per quintal, with an open interest of 10,419 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in far-month April also lost Rs 79, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 15,452 per quintal, with a business volume of 4,917 lots.

Analysts said besides subdued exports demand, increased supply in the spot markets and rise in sowing of jeera, also weighed on the sentiment at futures trade here.
