Jeera prices traded marginally lower by Rs 14 to Rs 13,432 per quintal in futures trade today on reduced offtake by speculators following subdued exports demand in physical markets.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for August month declined by Rs 14, or 0.10 per cent to Rs 13,432 per quintal with an open interest of 11595 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in current July month lost Rs 8, or 0.06 per cent to Rs 13,231 per quintal in 7722 lots.

Market analysts attributed fall in jeera prices at futures market to weak exports demand against adequate stocks position.
