Prices of jeera and turmeric fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on adequate stocks amid sluggish demand.
Market analysts said increased supply pressure of new crop amid sluggish demand mainly pulled down jeera and turmeric prices.
Jeera common and best quality declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 14,700-14,800 and Rs 16,700-16,800, respectively, while turmeric traded lower by the same margin to Rs 11,200-16,200 per quintal.
