Jeera prices up by 0.32% to Rs 13,395 per quintal in futures trade today after speculators enlarged positions on the back of export enquiries.
However, adequate supplies in the physical market and prospects of better crop due to favourable weather capped the rise.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery in March rose by Rs 42.50, or 0.32% to Rs 13,395 per quintal with an open interest of 2145 lots.
Market analysts said speculators enlarged their positions on fresh export enquiries mainly helped jeera prices to trade higher at futures trade.
