Jeera up 0.8% on export demand

Prices rose as speculators enlarged their positions

Jeera futures for May rose Rs 105, or 0.81%, to Rs 13,047.50 per quintal in 642 lots.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the June contract traded higher by Rs 90, or 0.69%, to Rs 13,130 per quintal in 14,058 lots.

Prices rose as speculators enlarged their positions driven by fresh export enquiries in the spot markets.

Improved export demand also supported the trade.
