Jeera prices fell by Rs 300 per quintal in the national capital today owing to fall in demand from retailers and stockists at existing higher prices against sustained supplies.

Weak trends at futures market and lower advices from the producing belts, also put pressure on the prices. Jeera common and best quality fell by Rs 300 each to conclude at Rs 12,000-12,300 and Rs 13,400-14,000 per quintal.

Marketmen said reduced offtake by local parties and weak exports demand, pulled down jeera prices in the wholesale kirana market here.
