Jet Airways slips 7% on heavy volumes

A combined 5.35 million shares have already changed hands till late noon deals against an average 5.5 million shares that were traded daily in past one week.

Jet Airways (India) has dipped over 7% at Rs 568 on back of heavy volumes on the counter. The stock opened at Rs 610 and hit a low of Rs 565 on the NSE.

As many as a combined 5.35 million shares have already changed hands till late noon deals against an average 5.5 million shares that were traded daily in past one week.

According to winter schedule approved by the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Jet Airways has four hundred less departures compared to 2011. It has secured approval for 2,515 weekly flights in the current winter schedule. Jet Konnect's schedule more or less remains the same with little over 850 weekly flights, the Business Standard report suggests.
