Jet Airways has advanced this morning on a 26% rise in domestic traffic.
The stock opened at Rs 478 and gained to a high of Rs 490. It is now up 2.5% at Rs 486. Around 54,000 shares have been traded on the BSE so far.
The company's domestic traffic in January has gone up by 26%. The airline has reported a 25.9 per cent surge in domestic and 29.6%surge in international passenger traffic in January against the same period last year.
The robust growth numbers have been registered despite disruption in flight schedules over the northern sectors due to inclement weather and fog in Delhi in January.
Further, Turkish Airlines will lease three Boeing 777 aircraft from Jet Airways according to an agreement inked between the two carriers. The deal was signed last week.
