Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers to the tune of Rs 98.56 crore on the equity derivatives market on Tuesday. FIIs had accumulated open interest positions of Rs 2,714.19 crore of all index and individual stock futures and options. FIIs bought index futures worth Rs 64.27 crore and stock futures worth Rs 98.83 crore. |

They sold index futures worth Rs 54.09 crore and stock futures of Rs 10.45 crore. Maruti Udyog was the most active future contract among individual securities traded today with 12,000 contracts and State Bank of India (SBI) was the next most active future contract with 11,694 trades. |

All the stock futures on the 51 underlying securities got traded. The total number of contracts traded was 114,859 with a traded value of Rs 2,861.67 crore. The top 10 contracts contributed to around 66 per cent of the total traded volume in futures on individual securities. |

The top 20 contracts contributed to around 41 per cent of the total traded volume in options on individual securities. Tata Steel was the most active option contracts on individual securities traded with 1,724 contracts and SBI was the next most active option contract with 793 contracts being traded. |

Of the 51 securities, options on 44 underlying securities got traded. The total number of contracts traded was 8,903 with a notional value of Rs 241.55 crore. |

The most active calls were in Nifty June at strike prices of 1,500, 1,600 and 1,550. Tata Steel calls were the most active at 300 and 320. The most active puts in Nifty June futures were at the strike prices of 1,500, 1,450, 1,400 and 1,550, in that order. |

Satyam Computer puts were active at 320. Index futures saw a trading volume of Rs 2,936.85 crore arising out of 97,537 contracts and index options saw 9,784 contracts getting traded at a notional value of Rs 305.82 crore. |

The total turnover of the futures & options segment of the exchange was around Rs 6,345.90 crore. |
