Kabli gram rises on increased demand

In restricted activity, kabli gram prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on increased demand by retailers.

Elsewhere, other commodities remained stable due to restricted buying. Traders said increased retailers demand led to the rise in kabli gram small prices.  

In the national capital, kabli gram small variety rose by Rs 100 to Rs 4,100-5,500 per quintal. 

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Urad 4,000-4,400, Urad chilka (local) 4,900-5,300, best 5,400-5,900, Dhoya 5,450-5,550, Moong 4,500-5,500, Dal moong chilka local 5,400-5,800, Moong Dhoya local 5,700-5,900 and best quality 6,300-6,500

Masoor small 3,200-3,400, bold 3,350-3,600, Dal Masoor local 3,750-3,850, best quality 4,050-4,350, Malka local 3,500-3,550, best 3,650-3,750, Moth 2,200-2,500, Arhar 3,450-3,950, dal arhar dara 5,000-5,400
