Kalpataru Power hits 52-week high on order win of Rs 1,200 crore

The stock moved higher to its 52-week high of Rs 315, up 9% on BSE in intra-day trade.

Kalpataru Power Transmission (KPTL) surged to its 52-week high of Rs 315, up 9% on BSE in intra-day trade, after the company announced that it has secured new orders worth Rs 1,200 crore.

“The company has received an order from Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited (TSTRANSCO) for transmission line turnkey project worth Rs 402 crore, in Hyderabad,” KPTL said in a release.

The second project is awarded to a JV consortium of KPTL, JMC and STS. The project is for railway infrastructure construction project in Hyderabad for Railway Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) of Rs 46 crore, it added.

The company also received transmission line turnkey project worth Rs 336 crore in Abu Dhabi.

Manish Mohnot, managing director & CEO, KPTL said, the current order book provides good visibility of achieving 15-20% growth in next year.

At 12:58 pm; the stock was up 6% at Rs 308 as compared to 0.32% rise in the S&P BSE Sensex. A combined 555,842 shares changed hands on the BSE and NSE so far.
