KEC International gained 3.6% to Rs 143 on BSE in early morning trade after the company said that it won international orders worth of Rs 840 crore of various segments viz. transmission and distribution segment, cable business.
The company’s transmission and distribution business has secured orders of Rs 723 crore in Malaysia, Egypt and the Americas.
“In Malaysia a turnkey order has been received of Rs 429 crore for construction of 275 kV transmissions Line. In Egypt a turnkey order of Rs 248 crore for 500 kV overhead transmission line, has been received,” KEC International said in a press release.
The company’s cable business has secured about Rs 117 crore orders, it added.

At 09:24 am; the stock was up 2.5% at Rs 142 on the BSE, as compared to 0.05% decline in the S&P BSE Sensex. A combined 157,331 shares changed hands on the counter on the BSE and NSE.
