KNR Constructions has rallied 6% to Rs 122 after the company said its joint venture (JV) has received order worth of Rs 207 crore from Government of Andhra Pradesh for construction of major bridge.
“KNR Construction’s 60:40 JV with Sri Lakshmi Metal Industries has been awarded by Government of Andhra Pradesh, Roads and Buildings Department an order worth Rs 206.69 crore,” the Hyderabad-based construction and engineering company said in a filing to the stock exchanges.
The contract is for construction of major bridge across river Godavari (length 1.780 kms) and its approaches (length 18.690 kms) at Eturunagaram on Hyderabad - Bhoopalapatnam Road of NH No.163 in the state of Andhra Pradesh under Left Wing Extremism (LWE) scheme and the said project to be completed within a period of 36 months from the appointed date, it added.
A combined 46,046 shares have changed hands on the counter so far on the NSE and BSE.
