Breadth fairly positive: realty, energy stocks shine.
The Sensex continues to exhibit lacklustre trade and is now hovering near the previous close. The index is now at 17,936, up one point. The NSE Nifty is five points lower at 5,363.
Among the Sensex-30 stocks, Reliance Communications and BHEL have added 2% each at Rs 176 and Rs 2,508, respectively.
DLF, Tata Power and Reliance Infrastructure are up over 1.5% each.
Wipro and Jaiprakash Associates are down 1% each at Rs 713 and Rs 153, respectively.
Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, TCS, Hindalco and Infosys have slipped 0.5% each.
The market breadth is positive, out of 2,517 shares traded, 1,584 have advanced and 857 have declined so far on the BSE.
Among the sectoral indices, realty and power indices have added 1% each at 3,442 and 3,182, respectively.
Ansal Properties and Sobha Developers have added 3.5% each at Rs 76 and Rs 293, respectively on the realty index.
Suzlon Energy and Neyveli Lignite have added 2.5% each at Rs 75 and Rs 152, respectively on the power index.
The midcap and the smallcap indices have added 0.5% each.
