NTPC and Sterlite have gained 1.8% each at Rs 185 and Rs 612, respectively.
Ranbaxy, Tata Power and Maruti have advanced over 1.5% each to Rs 500, Rs 1,033 and Rs 625, respectively.
ONGC and Mahindra & Mahindra have shed 2.5% each at Rs 1,036 and Rs 547, respectively.
Satyam and HDFC have slipped 1% each to Rs 401 and Rs 2,261, respectively.
