Lead prices traded lower by Rs 1.40 to Rs 114.50 per kg in futures trade today due to subdued demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in November fell by Rs 1.40, or 0.56%, to Rs 114.50 per kg in a business turnover of 570 lots.

October lead traded lower by 60 paise, or 0.52%, to Rs 114.30 per kg in 5,919 lots.

Market analysts attributed the decline in lead futures to subdued demand from battery makers in the spot market.
