Lead prices eased by 0.26% to Rs 134.40 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their exposures amid a weak trend overseas and subdued spot demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in January fell 35 paise, or 0.26%, to Rs 134.40 per kg in a business turnover of 14 lots.

On similar lines, the metal for delivery in December shed 30 paise, or 0.22%, to Rs 133.25 per kg in 219 lots.

Marketmen said a weak trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange (LME) after manufacturing data for China missed estimates and subdued domestic demand mainly led to fall in lead futures prices.
