Amid subdued domestic demand and weak trend in base metals overseas, lead futures traded lower by 0.28% at Rs 106.40 per kg.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in June shed 30 paise, or 0.28%, to Rs 106.40 per kg, with a business turnover of 310 lots.

The July was down by similar margin to trade at Rs 107.25 per kg, with a turnover of 15 lots.

Market analysts said weakness in base metals at the London Metal Exchange (LME) and sluggish demand from battery-makers at domestic spot markets put pressure on the lead futures prices here.
