Lead prices declined by 1.20 per cent to Rs 119.80 per kg in futures trade today on the back of a weak trend in base metals overseas and subdued domestic demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in March fell by 1.45, or 1.20 per cent, to Rs 119.80 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,376 lots.
The metal for delivery in April also shed Rs 1.40, or 1.15 per cent, to Rs 120.25 per kg, with business volume of 193 lots.
Market analysts said a weak trend in copper and other base metals at the London Metal Exchange along with a subdued domestic demand, kept pressure on the lead futures prices here.
