Lead futures prices fell by 0.60% to Rs 98.70 per kg today, as speculators reduced their positions to book profits.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in December shed 60 paise, or 0.6%, to Rs 98.70 per kg, with a business turnover of 55 lots.
In a similar fashion, the metal for November delivery was trading lower by 55 paise, or 0.56%, at Rs 97.70 per kg, with a trade volume of 762 lots.
Market analysts said profit-booking by speculators mainly led to a fall in lead prices at futures trade, offsetting firming trend overseas.
Meanwhile, lead climbed 0.6% to $1,955 per tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
