Lead prices moved down by 0.43% to Rs 116.60 per kg in futures trade today amid profit-booking by speculators and a weak global trend.

Fall in demand from battery makers and other consuming industries also put pressure on the lead futures.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in April fell by 50 paise, or 0.43% to Rs 116.60 per kg, with a business turnover of 247 lots.

The metal for delivery in May also shed 45 paise, or 0.38% to Rs 117.50 per kg, with business volume of 62 lots.

Market analysts said weak trend in copper and other base metals in the global markets and a subdued domestic demand led to the decline in lead futures prices here.
