Lead prices fell by 0.22% to Rs 115.25 per kg in futures trading today amid weak cues from the global market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in June declined by 30 paise, or 0.22%, to Rs 115.25 per kg, with a business turnover of 676 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in July shed 20 paise, or 0.17%, to Rs 115.80 per kg, with an open interest for 50 lots.

On the London Metal Exchange (LME), lead lost 0.20% to $2,575 a tonne in early trade today.

Analysts said a weak trend in copper and other base metals overseas and sluggish demand in the domestic spot market mainly put pressure on lead prices in futures trade today.
