Lead futures traded 0.43 per cent higher to Rs 106.05 per kg today, as speculators enlarged positions, supported by a firming trend in global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, lead futures for November delivery rose by 45 paise, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 106.05 per kg, with a business turnover of five lots.
Lead futures for October contract delivery also gained 35 paise, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 105.050 per kg, with a turnover of two lots.
Analysts said firming trend in base metals overseas on expectations that the US Federal Reserve may provide more stimulus to boost economic recovery, influenced the lead futures prices here.
Meanwhile, lead rose as much as 0.40 per cent to $2,385 per tonne at the London Metal Exchange in early trade today.
