Tracking firm trend in other base metals and rising domestic demand, lead futures traded 1.21 per cent higher at Rs 109.15 per kg today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, lead futures for December-delivery edged up by Rs 1.30, or 1.21 per cent to Rs 109.15 per kg, with a business turnover of 2,810 lots.
Similarly, lead futures for January and February contract also gained Rs 1.30, or 1.19 per cent each at Rs 110.20 and Rs 110.90 per kg respectively, with a business turnover of 219 and two lots.
Market analysts said a firm trend in other base metals in global markets on the back of strong US economic data and a strong spot demand, helped lead to trade higher at the futures market here.
