Tracking gains in other base metals, lead futures prices rose by 0.63 per cent to Rs 119.75 per kg in futures trade today.

Pick up in demand at the spot market from battery makers influenced lead futures prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, lead for delivery in February gained 75 paise, or 0.63 per cent, to Rs 119.75 per kg, with a business turnover of 41 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in January gained 70 paise, or 0.59 per cent, to Rs 119.10 per kg, with a business turnover of 832 lots.

Market analysts said pick-up in demand from battery manufacturers and better trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange influenced lead futures prices at futures trade.
