Lead prices drifted by 0.28% to Rs 125.10 per kg in futures trading today due to sluggish demand from battery-maker in the spot market amid a weak overseas trend.

At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in June declined 40 paise, or 0.28%, to Rs 125.10 per kg in business turnover of 1,610 lots.

On similar lines, metal prices for delivery in July were down by 35, or 0.28%, to Rs 125.55 per kg in 88 lots.

Market analysts said besides sluggish demand from battery- makers in the spot market, a weak trend in metal at the London Metal Exchange, mainly kept pressure on lead prices at futures trade.
