Lead prices inched up by 0.37% to Rs 108.10 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions, driven by the pick up in spot market demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in August traded higher by 40 paise, or 0.37%, to Rs 108.10 per kg, with a business turnover of 683 lots.

The July contract edged up by 30 paise, or 0.28%, to Rs 107.55 per kg in 1,500 lots.

Marketmen said fresh buying by speculators, supported by the rising spot market demand helped lead prices to trade marginally higher at futures trade.
